Liposonix targets the stubborn fat around your waistline (abdomen and love handles), which is effective for circumferential waist reduction, resulting in a slimmer, more contoured waistline. It is a non-invasive procedure with little to no downtime compared to invasive procedures such as liposuction, and many patients typically able to resume normal activities immediately after treatment.
How does Liposonix work?
The Liposonix system uses high-intensity focused ultrasound energy to non-invasively destroy targeted subcutaneous fat and deliver uniform, predictable results after a single one-hour treatment.
It uses ultrasound energy which is used to penetrate through the skin layers and into the targeted fat tissue without harming skin or surrounding tissues. The body naturally removes the destroyed fat from the treatment area, which may leave you with a thinner, more contoured waistline.
With many other non-invasive fat reduction technologies, such as radiofrequency and lasers, energy is highly absorbed or scattered near the skin surface, thereby limiting penetration into subcutaneous fat tissue and delivering only temporary results.
What are the steps to Liposonix?
Step 1: The treatment head of the Liposonix system is placed on the area to be treated.
Step 2: High-intensity ultrasound energy focuses on the targeted fat, destroying fat cells beneath the surface layers of the skin.
Step 3: A continuous lesion is created in the targeted fat and the skin layer is not harmed.
Step 4: And where it goes? The treated fat tissue is removed through the body’s natural healing and elimination process, leaving you with a thinner, more contoured waistline.
Who is a good candidate for Liposonix?
Liposonix treatment is suitable for people who maintain a healthy weight yet struggles with localised fat (lumps, bumps and bulges) that they just cannot get rid of no matter how much they exercise or diet.
Be able to “pinch-an-inch” (2.5 cm) of fat in the treatment area
Have a body mass index (BMI) equal to or less than 30
Have good overall health
Have realistic expectations about the results
What happens during Liposonix treatment?
The doctor moves the head of the Liposonix system around the area to be treated, and treat the area for 30-60 minutes.
During treatment, the patient may feel discomfort, cold, prickling, tingling, or warmth, which are generally described as mild.
What can one expect after Liposonix?
After Liposonix treatment over the next 8 to 12 weeks, the body will naturally process and removes the destroyed fat tissue. With less fat, the body will be naturally slimmer, with a sleeker, more contoured waistline.
After treatment, there may be some discomfort (pain), bruising, redness, and swelling, which are generally described as mild.
What happens to the fat once they die?
The dead fat cells are naturally processed by the liver which is an organ in the body designed to perform this very function.
Once the fat cells are killed from the Liposonix treatment, they are gone and results are permanent. Fat will never deposit again in the same area that was treated. So there is no risk of fat from other areas moving over to the treated area to compensate
Is the result from Liposonix permanent?
The Liposonix treatment results are lasting and cumulative. Once the fat cells are eliminated in a specific area they will not come back there. As long as you maintain your weight with diet and exercise, your long-term results should remain stable.
Liposonix is customisable to the individual patient
Patients come in all shapes and sizes, and so does their fat. The Liposonix system is highly versatile, allowing control over precisely how and where energy is delivered, for a truly customized treatment in a single one-hour session.
What is 4D (Silhouette Threadlifting + Liquid Facelift + Fillers) Facelifting?
Silhouette threads address the 3 dimensions of ageing by lifting and tightening sagging skin thus lessening unsightly wrinkles. The addition of the liquid facelift with hyaluronic acid fillers tackles the 4th dimension of ageing; volume loss.
