Dr Tan Tyng Yuan spent more than 10 years in the United Kingdom in her perusal of academia and medical training. She obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the prestigious University College London. She then worked in England covering postings in Medicine and Surgery. Upon her return to Singapore, she started specialist training in Anaesthesiology before discovering that her passion lies in Aesthetics and Hair Transplants.
Dr Tan Tyng Yuan obtained her Diploma in Dermatology from the UK, and is also certified in the operation of Aesthetics Lasers, Dermal Fillers, IPL and Chemical Peeling and Thermage CPT. Her special interest lies in the treatment of hair loss and she has trained overseas under Hair Restoration Surgeons both in Asia and in the USA in Hair Transplantation before returning to start her practice in Singapore.
Dr Tan believes in the importance of putting her patient’s interests first and keeps up to date with the latest medical advancement. Dr Tan Tyng Yuan is an active member of various hair and aesthetics international organization, such as the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, The Asia Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons, The American Academy of Anti-Ageing Medicine and The American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.
Dr Tan Tyng Yuan was invited by Dr John Cole to assist in the demonstration of Cole Isolation Hair Transplant Technique to a delegation of International doctors in Seoul in 2012. The event was attended by hair transplant doctors from around the world, who came to learn more about Dr Cole’s pioneering transplant techniques.
Dr Tan is personally trained by Dr Cole, who heads the Cole Hair Transplant Group based in the USA. Dr John Cole is one of the pioneering doctors in Hair Transplantation (FUE), and has clinics both in Florida, Georgia, Seoul and China.
In her free time, Dr Tan Tyng Yuan enjoys volunteering for the less fortunate. She has been on missionary trips to Thailand, to use her medical skills to help and treat underprivileged patients.
